Text message program terms

Effective date: September 22, 2026

Who sends these messages

UnloadRisk, Inc. sends the text messages described on this page. We are a Delaware corporation and our mailing address is 625 2nd Street, Outcast, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94107. Every number we send to was given to us by the person who holds it, for one of the two purposes below. We do not buy, rent, or import phone numbers from anyone, and we do not send marketing or promotional text messages at all.

The two kinds of message we send

  • One-time passcodes. When you open an account with us, we confirm that the mobile number you gave us actually reaches you. You ask us for a code, we text it to you, and you type it back.
  • Account notices. Short factual messages about an account you already hold with us: funds received, a contract settled, a statement ready, or a time-sensitive alert about a position you hold.

We send nothing else by text.

How you agree to receive them

A passcode is a message you asked for. You type your own mobile number into our account setup form and press the button that requests a code, and each press sends exactly one message to that number. Nothing is sent to a number nobody entered.

Account notices work differently, because we would be starting the conversation rather than answering it. During account setup we ask you separately, in plain words, whether you want them by text, and we record your answer with the date and the exact wording you were shown. If you say no, or say nothing at all, we do not text you: we use email instead, and your account is unaffected either way.

This program is new. We are not sending account notices yet, and we will not begin before the agreement described above is in place.

How often they arrive

A passcode arrives only when you ask for one, so that frequency is entirely yours. Account notices follow events on your account rather than a schedule, so they vary with your own activity. We expect a typical account to see a few messages a month.

How to stop them

Reply STOP to any message. We send one confirmation that you are unsubscribed, and then nothing further. You can also email hello@unloadrisk.com and ask us to stop, which reaches a person rather than a keyword.

Stopping text messages never affects your account or anything we owe you. Where we are required to tell you something, we tell you by email or post instead.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, or email hello@unloadrisk.com. Both reach UnloadRisk, the company that sent the message.

What they cost

We do not charge you for these messages. Your mobile plan may: message and data rates may apply, and that part is between you and your mobile carrier.

Delivery is not guaranteed

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Please do not treat a text as your only notice of something time-critical: your account records are what govern.

What we do with your number

We use your mobile number to send the messages described here and to confirm that it reaches you. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Our Privacy Notice covers information collected through this website and our outreach. Information you give us when you open an account is covered by the notices we give you at that point.

Changes to these terms

If we change them, we will post the new version on this page and revise the effective date above.
